Welcome to the Jesson’s School Web Site

Welcome to our website. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about our school. We hope you will get a flavour for what we are striving to achieve for our children as you browse through this site.

We are a Church of England school in the heart of Dudley and see ourselves as a learning community where everyone works together on behalf of the children. We believe that a partnership between parents, staff and governors is vital if the children are to be happy and successful learners.

There was an inspection of Jesson’s CofE Primary School (VA) on 30th April/1st May 2019.

The report says “Since the last inspection, as a result of training and the work of subject leaders, the teaching of phonics has improved. There are now clear routines in place and teachers model sounds accurately. Most pupils engage well in lessons and are increasingly using phonics skills to decode unknown words.”

NEWS:  View Full Report  Covid-19 Attention Parents and Carers

Following the Government’s announcement that schools will close to the vast majority of students from Friday 20 March 2020. I am writing to clarify what the next steps will now be. We do appreciate that this news, although largely anticipated, when actually confirmed, can come as a shock to both students, parents and staff.

We also recognise that this will affect different parents and students in different ways, dependent upon their individual circumstances. Please rest assured that we will endeavour to support you and your child as much as possible throughout this situation.
