At Jesson’s we recognise that every child is an individual with particular educational needs and abilities. We are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible outcomes for all our children, whatever their needs or abilities. Our educational aims for children with special educational needs and or disabilities are the same as those for all children in school.
Special educational needs may be experienced by an individual either throughout or at any time during their school career. This policy ensures that curriculum planning and assessment for pupils with special educational needs takes account of the type and extent of the needs of individual pupils.
Our SEND information report which is part of the Dudley Local Offer for Learners with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). All governing bodies of maintained schools and maintained nursery schools and the proprietors of academy schools have a legal duty to publish information on their website about the implementation of the governing body’s or proprietor’s policy for pupils with SEND. The information published is updated annually. The required information is set out in the SEN Code of Practice 0 -25 Years, January 2015.
